Many of us remember one of the ’90s most famous couples, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston.

Brad and Jennifer were set up on a blind date by their agents in 1998. The year after, they made their public red carpet debut at the Primetime Emmy Awards, then just two months later, they got engaged.

Pitt spent seven months working with Italian designer Silvia Damiani to create a custom diamond ring. Then on July 29, Brad and Jennifer got married at a private place in Malibu, California, owned by producer Marcy Carsey.

The wedding had a lot of details that were revealed after, aside from the 50,000 flowers and the fireworks display at the end, the $1 million wedding had a whole wall of caviar. Actor Michael Rapaport talked about it on Watch What Happens Live. He said, ā€œI was at Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston’s wedding. They had a wall of caviar. I still have some saved over.ā€

After seven years together their relationship began to take a different turn. Although the couple took a romantic vacation that year, it wasn’t enough to save their relationship, and they announced their separation shortly after in 2005.

Some reports suggested Pitt wanted to start a family, while Aniston wanted to focus on her movie career after Friends ended. Others highlighted Pitt’s growing focus on global charity work.

In July 2005, Pitt created a 60-page photo spread titled ā€œDomestic Blissā€ with Jolie for W magazine. Fans quickly took sides, some fans were Team Aniston while many others supported Jolie as Team Jolie. Not only that, t-shirts for both teams were designed by the White Trash Charms brand then sold by the Beverly Hills boutique Kitson. Team Aniston shirts outsold the Team Jolie ones.

Over the years, the two rebuilt a warm friendship, which they both wished to have after they separated.

Aniston told Vanity Fair just a while after they split, ā€œI really do hope that someday we can be friends again. I will love Brad for the rest of my life, he’s a fantastic man. I don’t regret any of it, and I’m not going to beat myself up about it.ā€
