‘The Five’: Jesse Watters Slammed for ‘Disrespect’ Toward Jessica Tarlov

Jessica Tarlov and Jesse Watters went head-to-head once again on the July 27 episode of The Five. Their heated debate came amid a discussion about Donald Trump pausing strikes on Iran.

“He always likes to say, ‘Well, things are just getting better and better and better,’ though, 87 dollars a barrel [for oil], it was down to 70 a week and a half ago when I told you it was going to go back up because of the waivers being yanked away,” Tarlov began.

She was unable to fully form her thought before Watters interrupted and said, “Don’t you guys [Democrats] like higher oil prices, Jessica? You said you wanted high oil prices, Jessica.”

While the Democratic panelist continually tried to make her point, Watters spoke over her, adding, “For four years, you drove them up to 90 dollars a barrel and you said that was a good thing. And what was it for? Nothing! There’s no windmills, there’s no solar panels, and people got hammered. So don’t talk like you know anything about the oil markets.”

Tarlov finally got in, “OK, let’s go again about what the difference between a toll versus an environmental fee is,” and Watters retorted, “It’s the difference between a man and a woman. You guys just change the definition of things. This is a little bit different.”

Tarlov was incredulous at that and responded, “As a proud mother of two, who got it out of my own body, I know full well what a woman is and I know what a man is and using that Marsha Blackburn thing for eight years in perpetuity is just stupid.”

A clip of the exchange was shared on X and fans called out Watters for how he spoke to his cohost. “Nothing says confidence in your position like SHOUTING and trying to start a different argument because you’re getting your ar*e handed to you in this one,” one person wrote.

Someone else noted, “Watters seemed especially obnoxious here. He really is so rude and disrespectful. He woyld never interrupt and talk down like this to a man,” and another commenter said, “My heart goes out to Jessica. How she keeps her cool with that buffoon constantly interrupting her with irrelevant quips, is beyond my ken.” Another also noted, “Jesse has no answer other than to try and use the man/woman thing. He can’t answer that the oil crisis is due to Donald Trump’s war with Iran and the strait of hormuz.”
