Sai De Silva has an exciting update for Real Housewives fans!
The Real Housewives of New York Citystar, 45, caught up with PEOPLE at the 2026 New York City Ballet Spring Gala on Friday, May 7, when she detailed what Bravo viewers can expect from the show's forthcoming 16th season.
"Filming is happening. I think it's going really well," De Silva says. "I think everyone's going to be pleasantly surprised and I think everybody's going to be sat this season."
The RHONY star also has a message about next season's newcomers, who she admits "really came to play."
"They understand the assignment and I'm really happy that we're all together," De Silva adds of the newer faces in the franchise.
De Silva, who spoke with PEOPLE at the gala alongside her 14-year-old daughter London, also shares 8-year-old son Rio with estranged husband David Craig.
She joined RHONY during its rebooted 14th season in 2023. Now, she'll be joined by three new ladies as she marks her third season of the reality series. PEOPLE confirmed in March that De Silva would be returning alongside fellow series vets Erin Lichy and Jessel Taank, while newcomers include fitness trainer Erika Hammond, celebrity makeup artist Daisy Toye and public relations professional Hailey Glassman.
That same month, the network revealed that Carole Radziwill would be returning to the show, eight years after she last appeared in season 10. "In the marathon of life, loyalty is everything. And because of Bravo fans’ loyalty, Carole Radziwill is returning to #RHONY as a friend-of for Season 16!!! 🍎," Bravo wrote in an Instagram post.

Last season featured Housewives, Lichy, Taank, De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Jenna Lyons, Brynn Whitfield and Racquel Chevremont. Whitfield announced her departure in June and Lyons announced her departure in November.
In May 2025, Andy Cohen confirmed he was meeting with potential cast members, despite rumors that Bravo canceled the show. "What's so interesting is, last week when I was here, the Bravo execs met with 10 potential new Real Housewives of New York," he said on SiriusXM's Andy Cohen Live at the time. "This is called the casting process between seasons, and it's heavily underway. That's why nothing has been announced."
"So I don't know what to say. It's really odd. It just keeps going on and on. There you go," he added.

The new season is filming amid some personal-life changes for De Silva, too. The reality star's husband, Craig, filed for divorce in New York City on Thursday, April 2, per court records obtained by PEOPLE. The pair first met in 2009 and tied the knot in 2017.
Describing herself as "the housewife who watches the Housewives," De Silva tells PEOPLE that she's up to speed on the other series in the franchise and that she's currently diving into Rhode Island. "They're doing so amazing over there. The girls are great," she says. "I was with Andy last night and I was like, 'Rhode Island is crushing, crushing.' We're coming for you, Rhode Island."
