Despite being a busy working mom, Nicky Hilton Rothschild always makes sure to carve out time for her family.
While speaking to PEOPLE ahead of the launch of her new Mother's Day collection for her jewelry brand Theo Grace, the fashion designer, 42, opens up about the "constant juggle" of being a successful businesswoman and raising her three children: Chasen, 3, Theodora, 8, and Lily-Grace, 9. Hilton Rothschild, who shares her children with husband James Rothschild, says she has learned to take everything "day by day" and prioritize those who are most important.
"I feel like it's a constant juggle ... [of] accepting that you can't do everything perfectly," she tells PEOPLE. "Some days you're a great mom. Some days you're great at work, and just trying to find that balance, which is tough, but family obviously always comes first."

With the jewelry collection, which launches Monday, April 6, Hilton Rothschild is using simplistic and elegant pieces to celebrate the meaningful bond formed between mothers and their children. Featuring rings, bracelets, necklaces, lockets and brooches, the collection showcases a timeless beauty, reflecting the unyielding love held across generations.
"The Mother's Day collection's really about celebrating the bond between mothers and their children through pieces of jewelry that feel personal and meaningful," she says.
The creation and launch of this collection was a family affair. Hilton Rothschild's own mom, Kathy Hilton, was featured in the campaign for the jewelry line, and her daughters even gave her some inspiration during the designing process. Hilton Rothschild shares she even thinks one of her daughters may have an interest in following in her mom's footsteps in the future.
"I think my youngest daughter is much more interested in fashion," she says of her 8-year-old, Theodora. "And she loves eavesdropping on my Zooms and meetings and learning about the business aspect of it."
Despite Theodora showing more interest in joining the fashion industry, Hilton Rothschild adds that both of her daughters give her input on her designs.

"When I'm designing, both of my daughters give me input," she explains. "One of my daughters was doing a whole rainbow collection, and she wants me to do a pride collection for French sole shoes, and she sketches and she draws."

Hilton Rothschild, who recently collaborated with luxury children's clothing brand La Coqueta for a limited-edition collection, explains that when she's designing, she always aims to combine practicality with beauty, especially when it comes to kids' clothing.
"As a mom, I'm always looking for children's clothing that feels timeless and special, and designing this collection was a chance to create pieces that reflect that, that are classic, beautiful, and need to be passed down," she says. "As a mother, you want your children to look nice and put together, but they also need to run around and actually be kids. So it was very important that the pieces are both beautiful and practical."
As for her kids, the doting mom of three says she especially has fun dressing them in specific items.
"For my son, laceless shoes are my favorite. I feel like they're constantly becoming untied," she shares, before revealing, "But my girls, [they] still let me dress them matching."
She adds, "And I know that those days are numbered, so I'm going to keep doing it until they don't let me anymore."
