One more shared, “First time since the beginning of this show, that I WON’T be watching, first time!!” Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams commented that attention surrounding the royal would benefit her and the cooking show.

“Every time Meghan’s name gets in the papers, even if it is negative, it builds up the power of her brand,” he told Fox News. Fitzwilliams continued, “It also helps to hype the show before it starts.” He said the “Suits” alum “was chosen as a guest judge to boost the ratings of the show.”

Moreover, British broadcaster Helena Chard felt that Meghan’s qualifications shouldn’t be questioned. This is because professional cooking experience isn’t mandatory for a celebrity guest judge.

“I don’t believe she’s a qualified chef. But then, they’ve had Steve Irwin as a guest judge before, and he wasn’t a chef either. ” Chard told the outlet. She added, “So it’s not really about culinary credentials.”

The broadcaster also said, “Meghan does have an interest in food and entertaining.” She continued, “So from a PR perspective, appearing on ‘MasterChef Australia’ alongside well-known hosts, strengthens her brand.

Besides the negative, there were positive comments on Meghan’s appearance. “I CAN’T WAIT!! WE LOVE YOU PRINCESS MEGHAN,” one fan wrote. Another one commented, “I love this for her… she is working and finding opportunities for herself.” One more fan shared, “All the people saying they won’t watch are the first ones who will be watching and later criticizing.”
