Last year, Young collapsed mid-performance while singing "Conceited" and was carried off the stage by medical team staff. In an Instagram Stories statement shared about an hour after the incident, the musician told fans she was "doing OK."

Young then canceled her tour dates and took a hiatus to "work on myself and come back stronger," she said at the time, before returning to the stage earlier this year.

Speaking to Rolling Stonein March 2026, Young said she now sees the incident in a new light. "I am very grateful that it happened because it was, what do you call that? Like, a breaking point which allowed me to then be able to be here today, allowed me to be better for my fans, better for the future, and better for myself," she told the outlet.

She also spoke about now regularly attending Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings.

On Sunday, May 17, Young shared an Instagram video where she appeared to tease new music.Β Her last album, I'm Only F---ing Myself, was released in September 2025.
