Kristen Stewart attended the photocall for Full Phil at the Cannes Film Festival on May 16.

She was photographed at the event in a completely sheer, skin-baring set by Chanel.

Cannes had a strict ban on nudity during some of its events.

Kristen Stewart’s energy on the red carpet is always cool, always unbothered, and always top tier, so when she popped out at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, the Twilight alum served up an unforgettable look that juuuust might have put her at risk of breaking the event’s strict dress code.

For the Full Phil photocall on May 16, KStew stepped out in an entirely sheer Chanel two-piece outfit that consisted of a barely there top and matching skirt. Though she covered up with a camisole and bottoms, the color match to her skin tone was so perfect that it looked like she had nothing on underneath the set.

The look was so sheer it got fans wondering—did Kristen break the Cannes dress code? According to the official FAQ website for the event, ”nudity is prohibited on the red carpet, as well as in any other area of the festival,” due to “decency reasons.” Plus, "voluminous outfits, in particular those with a large train, that hinder the proper flow of traffic of guests and complicate seating in the theater are not permitted."

This year’s rules also noted that screenings at Grand Théâtre Lumière that take place around 7 and 10 p.m. require “evening wear.” Other outfits that screening attendees can wear include “a dark-colored pantsuit, a dressy top with black pants [and] a black or navy-blue suit with bow-tie or dark-colored tie,” per the festival's FAQ page.

While Kristen’s outfit absolutely would not fly on the main red carpet, her outfit was perfectly suitable for the photocall she attended. And besides, she covered up for the Full Phil screening later that night—though her dress still showed off the tiniest hint of skin.

In conclusion: KStew is a Cannes dress code compliancy queen.
