Bryson DeChambeau found himself in an awkward position during a podcast appearance after being asked about his chances at the PGA Championship in the middle of an advert segment.

DeChambeau is weighing up his long-term future in the sport amid ongoing uncertainty surrounding LIV Golf with the breakaway circuit seeking financial backing beyond the 2026 season. The two-time major champion revealed he has considered a future in YouTube content creation if his professional golf career does not continue as planned.

DeChambeau recently appeared on a podcast hosted by Katie Miller, the wife of White House senior advisor Stephen Miller, where he discussed a range of topics including his relationship with Donald Trump. In the podcast, DeChambeau claims moon landing footage is fake in wild statement.

Miller, who serves as a spokesperson for prediction market platform Kalshi, was featured in a podcast segment that also included a promotional ad read for rival platform Polymarket.

During the appearance, a branded banner displaying Polymarket information reportedly appeared over footage of DeChambeau as he spoke about his chances at the PGA Championship. "The next major is the PGA Championship, Polymarket has Scottie Scheffler winning, you've come in second twice, do you think its your year" asked Miller.

DeChambeau responded: I think I've got a great chance. I didn't do as well as I wanted to in the Masters for other reasons and I feel like my game is still in a great place. I won two going into the Masters so it kind of just a bit of a fluke.

"I've had a bit of wrist stuff going on but feeling a lot better now and Aronimik is a great golf course for me so I hope that it can line up."

The podcast appearance has also drawn attention due to its timing, coming shortly after the conclusion of the PGA Championship. The episode included promotion linked to prediction markets advertising wagering activity around the outcome of the tournament.

It also puts DeChambeau in an awkward position, considering the week at Aronimik will be one to forget for the 32-year-old. DeChambeau enjoyed a strong stretch across the majors in 2024 and 2025, recording five top-six finishes in six appearances, but has since struggled to carry that form into golf’s biggest events while competing on LIV Golf.

The two-time US Open champion missed the cut at the recent event in Pennsylvania by three strokes, marking his third missed cut in four majors despite finishing his second round with three straight birdies in a closing 71.

Questions are now growing over his future in the game, with his LIV Golf contract set to expire at the end of the season and no clear route back to the PGA Tour currently in place.
