Alex Warren's love for his wife, Kouvr Annon, inspired one of his biggest hits.
The "Ordinary" singer and the YouTuber met in 2018 and got married in June 2024. While the pair found fame as members of the content creation hub Hype House, they eventually left the group, and Warren pursued a career in music.
In February 2025, the singer released his hit song "Ordinary," which he wrote about his wife. That same month, Annon shared a TikTok in which she compiled clips of Warren performing and paired them with a sweet message, "When you watch the person you love do the thing they love most in the world."
That September, Warren won Best New Artist at the MTV VMAs, an award he is now up for again at the 2026 Grammy Awards. Following his win, Annon shared a celebratory photo on Instagram, captioned, "Brb changing his contact from hubby to best new artist 🥹."

The pair first met on Snapchat in 2018, when Warren messaged Annon's friend saying that he thought she was cute.
During a March 2025 conversation with BBC, Warren opened up about how they "clicked right away," saying, "I felt I could tell her everything, just after our first conversation."
Warren was living out of his car at the time; his father died when he was 9 years old, and his mother kicked him out of the house amid an alcohol addiction. Four months after first connecting with Annon, she left her family in Hawaii to move to California, living with Warren in his car.
"When I was going through the worst time of my life, you were there sleeping in a car with me and we had no where to go," he wrote on Instagram in February 2021. "I love you so much and there was no one else I would’ve wanted to go through that with."

Though they posted videos together on their own from the start of their relationship, Warren and Annon rose to internet fame as members of the viral Hype House, the content creation group that included Charli D'Amelio and Addison Rae.
The group of young adults lived together making YouTube videos and TikToks during the COVID-19 pandemic. Warren (who co-founded the group) and Annon were also among those who were featured in Netflix's 2022 eight-part series, Hype House.
Citing a desire to "move on to the next chapter in their lives," Warren and Annon left the Hype House in 2022, per BBC.

In 2022, Warren popped the question to Annon on New Year's Eve.
“After running around for hours and almost losing the ring on a gondola, I found the perfect place to ask her to marry me," he told PEOPLE. "I remember how terrified I was even though I knew she was going to say yes because I wanted it to be perfect for her.”
Annon shared the news on Instagram, writing, "I’m marrying my best friend ❤️💍."

Two days later, Warren shared an Instagram photo from the ceremony, writing, "I'm officially the happiest man on earth."
The singer reflected on the special occasion a few weeks later, telling PEOPLE, "Getting married is extremely important to me. When I met Kouvr and the way she made me feel, I never wanted to let go of that feeling."
Annon added that marriage signifies her “commitment and response of protecting someone."
“I couldn’t imagine what my life would be without him, and I’m so happy that I don’t have to," she continued. As for the wedding celebrations, Annon called it "the most perfect day."

Warren has written not one, but two songs about Annon.
The singer wrote his 2024 hit "Carry You Home" as a wedding song for Annon — which he performed at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade later that year. In January 2025, one month before he released "Ordinary," Warren teased his new song on TikTok, explaining that "this is what falling in love feels like."
Warren captioned the post, "NEVER settle cause I wrote this for my wife."
During an April 2025 conversation with HITS, Warren reflected on the songwriting process for "Ordinary," saying, "I think it's rare today to find true love, with phones and social media and all these different things. And so we wrote 'Ordinary' about how love is falling out, but we found something crazy."

While speaking to PEOPLE after their wedding, Warren and Annon expressed their desire to grow their family in the future.
“I know that Alex is going to be the best father that there ever could be in the world but I can’t wait to be a mom,” Annon said.
Warren added that he was excited to “watch Kouvr be a mother" one day, and to become a dad himself.
In November 2024, Warren echoed that wish during a conversation with PEOPLE, explaining that his goals in life have "nothing to do" with "how big of a show" he plays.
"I want to have kids. I want to write songs about my kids. I want to do all these things," he said.
